ARC systems research GmbH was established in 2003 as a 100% subsidiary of Austrian Research Centers GmbH. In the General Assembly, systems researchis represented by the two ARC managing directors and the Scientific Advisory Board.
The predecessors of our research company were established in the early 1980s with the aim of incorporating technological trends into the planning stage.
The predecessor organisations were departments of today's ARC Seibersdorf research GmbH, which were later amalgamated into the Seibersdorf research division "Systems Research: Technology - Economy - Environment". In 2003, the division was spun-off to become a subsidiary of the ARC holding company with about 50 staff.
'The EFMN is financed by the European Commission Directorate General for Research as part of a series of initiatives intended to provide a Foresight Knowledge Sharing Platform for foresight practitioners and policy makers in the European Union.
